Portsmouth indie pop outfit Crystal Tides released their debut EP Eat Your Words featuring new track ‘Come Down’.

Well-known for their big-room guitar hooks, the four-piece have been building up a stream of successful singles including ‘Courtney Love’ and ‘Last Time’.

‘Come Down’ was written when things were getting really hard and engaging each other was difficult.

“It’s about someone who was going through tough times themselves and despite trying to help, they take it out on you,” says Crystal Tides. “It’s about being around someone who constantly is bringing you down. No matter how hard you try to get yourself on top of things or include them, they bring you down to their level by being negative.”

The EP as a whole consists of five songs all about some of the struggles they’ve faced as musicians as they travel through thick and thin to make it work. Despite these troubles, it’s safe to say that Crystal Tides have come out the other end and can reflect on an impressive career to date.
