Manchester four-piece Delights have shared new single ‘Monday’, their first release since signing to Modern Sky UK.

It’s another impressive cut of feel-good, hook-filled indie pop from the band, who this Friday take on their biggest headline show to date at Manchester’s famous Gorilla.

The band said: “Monday was written while all living together and the song went through many drastically different versions but nothing quite felt right until we had a lightbulb moment and decided to change the style, taking a slightly different direction to our usual sound and taking more inspiration from grunge and Britpop.

“As soon as we’d worked out this change in style the chorus was improvised on the spot by singer Adam Maxwell, inspired by a conversation he’d recently had with his girlfriend, and we knew straight away that we had the hook so ran with it with the aim of writing a short but sweet radio-friendly tune.”

Final tickets for Gorilla this Friday, August 20th can be found on Fatsoma HERE.
