Tact Actors release new LP ‘Words’

Tact Actors

Hailing from Houston in America, indie-rock duo Tact Actors have just released their new album ‘Words’.

Formed in 2010 by former bandmates David Cotton and Michael Allen, Cotton grew restless with a box of tapes of half-written songs and decided to venture out with the intent of completing his rough sketches.

Influenced by the likes of Guided By Voices, Cheap Trick, and The Beach Boys, Cotton aimed to make an album that served his musical vision and creative growth.

Once reunited with Allen, they got round to releasing their debut album, Exist in Pictures in 2011 and ‘Words’ follows on from those early influences. Fuzzy guitars and soft, and smooth vocals take the track excels in an already exciting age of indie rock.

The album has a mix of 70’s indie rock and a touch of blues-rock in some tracks gives a refreshing listen. Check it out below.
