Kid Bloom returns with funky psych pop single ‘Control’

LA’s alternative wonder kid, Kid Bloom follows up on last year’s sonic EP with new single ‘Control’.

Edging forever closer to the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist’s next long-play project, Kid Bloom has established his own unique domain of musical production. From the hip-hop infused beats, to the psychedelic guitar work, his versatile palette is growing at a rapid pace.

‘Control’ follows similar lines to that of his Blood Sugar EP in September 2020. Funky bass lines set the mood as psych guitars and light vocals make for a slick pop song.

Alongside the single, is a music video directed by Alex “Grizz” Loucas also sticks to the red theme as Lennon Kloser is illuminated in blood red lighting before arguing with a woman. This tease might give you ideas on what the next album would look and sound like.

‘Hold In, Hold On,’ released in November, was the most recent single from Kid Bloom. Meshing together a funky bass line, acoustic guitar and Kid Bloom’s dreamy vocals turned into a catchy, upbeat earworm. The song was the first of his next new batch of compositions that, with the release of ‘Control’ points the way forward for this remarkably talented artist.
