Lauran Hibberd teams up with The Regrettes’ Lydia Night for ‘How Am I Still Alive?’

“Doing a collaboration was something I’d always wanted to do,” revealed Lauran Hibberd, and that’s what she’s done with The Regrettes’ Lydia Night for the rousing new anthem ‘How Am I Still Alive?’

Along with the single release comes the announcement of Lauran’s new EP ‘Goober’ is due on July 30th.

The latest effort from the Isle of WIght superstar is another slice of fuzzed up indie pop with charisma and whit. ‘How Am I Still Alive?’ toys with the bleakness of everyday life and makes it sound more entertaining than it actually is.

“I’ve always felt it really important to work together with similar artists instead of working against them, says Lauran. “Especially in these times. I am super stoked to have Lydia [Night] sing on the track; I toured with The Regrettes in 2019 and THEY ROCK. It was so much fun, and I took so much from it, and Lydia is bad ass so YEAH!”

Working again as she did with producer Suzy Shinn like on previous single ‘Boy Bye’, Lauran Hibberd is once again on top of her game. Both of which will feature on the forthcoming Goober EP this summer.

On the track, she adds: “Michael (Cera) becomes the focus point of getting through the mundane but plays on the idea of if I actually had him I probably wouldn’t want him anyway. That, and the everyday celebration of making it through another day pretty much sums up the last year of my life.”

With universal backing already throughout the tastemaker community, Lauran Hibberd’s reputation continues to progress at a remarkable rate, and with a full live plot set to be revealed for later this year, she’s certainly primed to take full advantage.
