Being on a FIFA soundtrack is undeniably one of the greatest things to happen to a band, exposing them to a worldwide audience whilst being an integral part of what makes FIFA so successful and consistently one of the best selling games.
And few bands deserve this more than Rat Boy. After smashing festivals and on the final stages of his current UK tour the news that Get Over It delighted many of the loyal hordes that follow the band. A perfect song with the angst-fuelled spats and a complex electric beat underlying it’s a perfectly crafted FIFA tune. Whilst this is Rat Boy’s first time appearing on a FIFA soundtrack, it’s almost undeniable it won’t be the last.
FIFA is known for giving bands the projection they sometimes need to get their songs out there (think King of Leon on FIIFA ‘04) and unearthing some of the best in emerging talent, and they’ve definitely done just that with Rat Boy’s Get Over It.
