Abbie Ozard drops latest EP Water Based Lullabies

Manchester’s Abbie Ozard has shared new EP Water Based Lullabies; an eclectic, invigorating seven-track collection that establishes Abbie as one of the buzziest rising stars in the UK right now.

Throughout the EP Abbie experiments with her distinct, characterful indie-pop sound from the downtempo single ‘Grown’ to the anthemic ‘Pisces’. The foundations are set for an evolution in approach, born out of Abbie’s own personal and musical development, and previously unheard  ‘Rose Tinted’ take things to explosive new levels.

Moving beyond bedroom origins, listeners can trace elements inspired by the likes of Phoebe Bridgers or Wolf Alice without losing their ear for a life-affirming hook.

“I love that no two of my singles are sounding the same in this era,” Abbie explains, “The last thing I want to be is predictable. I feel like genre isn’t really a thing anymore and when I remind myself of that I feel like I can express myself creatively and have the freedom to make whatever music I want.”

Abbie emerged initially into a supportive scene with contemporaries Lauran Hibberd and Phoebe Green, touring with them at personal request. From here, a string of acclaimed singles and EPs, as well as a growing live presence – that has recently seen her make her Glastonbury debut in a strong run of festival appearances.
