New York singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Tiggy has shared new song ‘Dear California,’ ahead of her debut EP.

The indie pop artist spent much of her teenage years moving to five different countries. Those new challenges and settling in can be hard for your typical teenager, but Tiggy has taken it in her stride and brought those influences into her music.

‘Dear California,’ is her fourth release since Tiggy decided to document her journey. It’s an upbeat, sun-soaked, and surf-inspired tribute to her early childhood days in California.

It’s the opening track on the upcoming EP which will also include ‘Two Year Stand.’ A song heavily inspired by her time in Paris and the experience of having to move cities every two years. The body of songs take you on a journey around the world.

The former opera singer and cellist mixes classical elements with indie pop production to construct a warm and nostalgia-inducing sound that spans multiple genres. She is completely DIY; writing and producing all her music at home.

Tiggy is inspired by an eclectic mix of sounds. Blending indie pop influence from the likes of Lorde, Lana Del Rey, and Maggie Rogers, a breezy, laid-back vibe from surf-pop inspired acts like Dayglow and Goth Babe, and a darker, harmonic tone from genre-fluid acts like Charlotte Day Wilson and Bon Iver, Tiggy crafts a unique sound that spans multiple genres.

She takes any listener on a journey around the world, both sonically and thematically, with each song. Growing up in five different countries, Tiggy is a nomad, crafting warm, nostalgia-inducing tracks that aim to put a smile on your face.
