The Strange Days produce fuzzy and rhythmic ‘gutter rock’

The Strange Days Live

London quartet The Strange Days have dropped their new single ‘Skiffle’ as they gear up for their upcoming EP due this time next month.

Raised on a healthy and plentiful diet of The Strokes, Fontaines DC, IDLES, Courtney Barnett, Iggy Pop, The Clash and the Doors, the band produce a fuzzy and rhythmic blend of ‘gutter rock’.

The new track ‘Skiffle’ is The Stranger Days’ third release of the year with all three appearing on Music For Pleasure set for release on July 7th. The band also have a second titled ‘A Modern Record’ later in the year which will feature four new, unheard tracks.

The band said: “’Music For Pleasure’ is the first release of two we have approaching this year. The name comes from an old label that I saw on some old records that my Dad gave me. They only released novelty and Christmas records, stuff like that.”

Comprised of Isabel Hollingum – Bass Guitar, Patrick O’Keefe – Drums, Declan Robertson – Lead Guitar, Vocals and Ash Sandys – Rhythm Guitar, Vocals; the band’s music is ladened with fun hooks and high energy rock n roll.

The band’s message is clear; just to have fun and dance whilst under the mist of intricate lyrics with deeper meanings and cultural comments. Listen to ‘Skiffle’ below and leave an ICM Star Rating out of 10.
