East coast five-piece The Harbours have released new melodic and nostalgic single ‘One In A Million’ taken from their debut EP This Fine Day.

Hailing from Great Yarmouth, band members Alex Grimmer (guitar), Adam Benjamin (vocals), Dean Wilson (bass), Lee Potter (drums) and Ryan Smithurst (guitar), blend influences, experiences and surroundings they have managed to create a unique sound that’s entirely self-produced.

With a subtle nod to many classic UK indie bands including; The Stone Roses, The Las and The Cure, their songs tell honest stories of day to day life through the eyes of the observer, underpinned with a bold as brass strut.

The EP, titled This Fine Day, is a clean cut of dynamic guitar riffs and driving bass lines, all held together by a lively drum rhythm and precision delivery. The third track ‘One In A Million’ is a vintage melodic number with calm and laid-back vocal delivery that blends beautifully in the mix accentuated in moments. Each track has subtly layered harmonies that shift the dynamic and landscape of them.

Demonstrating raw and organic energy, The Harbours have a trademark mix of uplifting melodies, catchy hooks and driving rhythms. The band blend nostalgia with a sound fit for the future of indie music. Check out the track and EP below and leave your ICM Rating out of 10.
