Sweet Tooth create high energy indie pop-rock

Californian rockers Sweet Tooth brandish a high energy rock-pop with a vintage disco punk sound who have released their first single of the year ‘Wind Me Up’.

Based in San Diego, the trio – Jacob Schrimpf (guitar), Kevin Bingham (drums) and Trevor Barber (bass) say the “music and the show come first” and it’s hard to argue with that.

The new single ‘Wind Me Up’ is bass-heavy with vintage 60s sounding guitars about a girl who winds you up a lot.

Talking about the single, the band said: “Recorded in an underground studio called Ronin Studios by Sonic. You won’t find it online because it’s illegal. They dug and built it in an area they didn’t own and have to walk through a tunnel to get into it.

“Can’t tell you his name either or you might reveal critical details to sources that don’t care about his existence. Also, our friend Gabe did some vocals and guitar on this record. Gabe’s in a band called Digital Lizards of Doom. He’s got a sweet afro.”

Filling empty spaces in their souls, 1960s vintage cars, lingerie and steamy cocoa, Sweet Tooth are making some loud noise in the States and it’s quickly making its way across the deep North Atlantic ocean. Check them out now and leave an ICM Star Rating out of 10.
