Banji announce debut album with new funky single ‘Cornflakes’

Utrecht quartet Banji have announced the release date of the debut album Freshcakes with the release of new single ‘Cornflakes’. Hotly-tipped for a successful 2022 following their ICM Awards Best International Act nomination, the band are harnessing the power of technicolour fun against a greyscale world to showcase their brand of indie-pop. New single ‘Cornflakes’ is a funky and quirky slice of pop with electronic patchwork-smaples and bouncing vocals. Thematically, it covers the consequence of submitting to small cravings, and the bigger overall issues this can cause. Vocalist Morris Brandt explains: “I’m prone to developing little addictions pretty easily. Just the tiny
