Ralph TV emerge from quarantine offering their infectious new single, ‘4 U’

Following the release of their debut LP, Cabin Fever Dreams last year, everything seemed to go quiet in the world of Ralph TV.

The monotony of lockdown put a temporary pause on new music from the band, but nearly one year after their last release, the Brighton four-piece return with vibey new single, ‘4 U’.

Their tantalisingly vibrant psychedelic sound remains prominent on this new release– offering a blues-busting note that inspires optimism amongst listeners.

The band’s newly formulated post-production techniques also make a debut. ‘4 U’ combines both the new and the old to build upon many of the nuances that make Ralph TV’s sound entirely their own. Ben’s hazy synths blend effortlessly with the band’s ever-charming vocals, and as the track builds up into its infectious chorus line, we see this pairing come to the fore.

Frontman Will says: “This track is one where we’ve tried to encompass all of our elements into one. The funky side and the dreamy side working in tandem with each other.”

Guitarist, vocalist and producer Ben explains that the lyrics emerged in the wake of lockdown one.

He said: “It reflects on the mundane repetition of life during the pandemic and the longing for a return to normality”

“But then it also has the chorus of a love song. Love is always something that we can use as a nice distraction for when the world is so chaotic… the track is about that personal experience and the interplay between those things.”

Oozing with charisma and soaked in Brighton sunshine, ‘4 U’ is an uplifting reminder that better days are on the horizon. It won’t be long before life returns to normality, and we can blast tracks like ‘4 U’ freely with our mates again.

‘4 U’ by Ralphn TV is out now via Nice Guys across all major streaming services.
