Southampton based singer-songwriter Georgia Turnbull reveals her new single ‘Explore’ which is premiering here on ICM!

Expressing motive lyricism through sun-kissed alt pop, Georgia and her band take a big step forward in production akin to Jade Bird and Phoebe Bridgers.

‘Explore’ tells a scenic tale of modern day romance and how easy it is to get lost amongst the romanticising of falling head-over-heels in love with someone you’re yet to meet.

Her handsome delivery sits perfectly amongst the soothing arrangement that drives towards the escapism she strives to create. Emotional pop-filled indie with raw songwriting and colourful explosions of euphoric sounds, Georgia Turnbull is one to keep an eye on.

“Most of the songs I write begin in my bedroom, but I always aim for them to take place somewhere else and Explore is no different.” Says twenty-year-old Turnbull. “Lyrically this song takes place in an ideal perfect world that we all know cannot exist yet we still dream of.

“Here I look at love and how easy it is to obsess over small details when somebody new arrives in your life and also how you can almost lose yourself in dreams of somewhere else with that certain person.”
