New Moons from Cincinnati Ohio

Cincinnati trio New Moons bring a distinctive concoction of blues, rock and psychedelic to life and have emerged with their single ‘Energy’.

One of Ohio’s indie rockers invested in the Midwest, the outfit is on the verge of releasing their third record that offers modern alt rock and vintage rock ‘n’ roll.

Set to feature eight tracks, one of those will be ‘Energy’. Dropped in December 2019, the rhythmic number has powerful American anthem-sized riffs with a vintage feel. The drums are the powerhouse to the beat, whilst keeping the vocals prominent on stage too.

‘Energy’ is a well-sculptured track that boasts ambition and progression from the band’s earlier work. Fuelled by pop rock and traditional rock ‘n’ roll, the track is energetic and rifled with catchy hooks and big drops.

The instruments all do their parts in perfect harmony and no one is stepping on one another’s toes. Packed with charisma and musical pedigree, New Moons are showing serious commitment.

Compared to Afhgan Whigs, Pixies, Ty Segall and Dinosaur Jr, New Moons feature well-crafted songwriting, fantastic lead vocals and top-notch guitar jams, led by Curtis Dressman.

New Moons released an EP, Blood in the Waves in 2018, along with two live performance videos. Their debut album Glass Planet in 2015, and the catchy tune ‘You Don’t Need to Know Me’ was played frequently on worldwide radio.
