Modern Age Music Song of the Day: The Mysterines – ‘Love’s Not Enough’

Liverpool’s The Mysterines are one of the fastest rising bands of the past year. 2019 saw them drop debut EP ‘Take Control’ and after a roller-coaster 12 months on the live circuit, they finished the year supporting The Amazons on their UK tour including a huge show at Brixton Academy.
2020 has seen their momentum continue, they were picked as ICM’s Ones To Watch 2020 series, completed a sold-out headline show at The Dome in London and the release of latest single ‘Love’s Not Enough’. True to form, it’s a brilliant piece of scuzzy garage rock with big riffs and a stirring vocal from lead singer Lia Metcalfe.
Lia says the song “is a short reflection of just how destructive love can be, both mentally and physically”.
