October Drift

October Drift have shared new single ‘Like the Snow We Fall’, the first track to be taken from their forthcoming acoustic EP.

The Taunton, Somerset quartet released their debut album earlier this year (listen here), and have built a reputation for their ferocious live shows and powerful guitar tracks.

The new cut is a change of pace, offering up a softer side to the band with acoustic guitar and vocal from lead singer Kiran Roy working together to create a thoughtful, emotive and somewhat captivating track.

Kiran explained: “It’s about trying to control our hopes, fears and expectations and accepting things as they are. We’re often sold that A+B=C.

“You do some course and then you’ll automatically have this great job at the end or that you spend money on a new product and it’ll make you happier and healthier, but the world doesn’t always work like that.

“This song is about doing your own thing and trying to realise self-worth, even if it doesn’t fit the mould. It’s not always the easiest thing to do.”

The new EP, ‘Naked’, will be out on November 6th via Physical Education Recordings.
