Modern Age Music Song of the Day: IDLES – ‘Mr Motivator’

IDLES are back with new single ‘Mr Motivator’, following on from hugely successful 2018 album ‘Joy as an Act of Resistance’ and 2019 singles ‘Mercedes Marxist’ and ‘I Dream Guillotine’.

The new track, released along with a 90s-inspired fan-based workout video, marks the raucous return of the Bristol five-piece; a pumping piece of post-punk which becomes the first piece of the third album.

Frontman Joe Talbot explained: “We want to start this journey with a means to not only encapsulate the album’s sentiment but to encourage our audience to dance like no one is watching and plough through these dark times with a two-tonne machete of a song and the most beautiful community of scumbags ever assembled. Let’s go. All is love.”
