Hotel Lux have dropped their much-anticipated debut EP ‘Barstool Preaching’, out now via Nice Swan Records.

Portsmouth raised and now flying the flag for the South London scene, the five-piece open the EP with single ‘Tabloid Newspaper’ which takes aim at what the band see as misleading journalism in mainstream media.

Frontman Lewis Duffin exclaims: “I’m a twister of the truth” in the chorus, taking a sardonic view on his writing process as a musician and likening it to that of the tabloids.

The band said: “That old saying of the journo’s cut, paste and twist is the same in songwriting. Just no-one admits it. These 3 verses and a silly chorus is our confession.”
