FLING

FLING have released new single ‘Best Friend’ along with confirmation that it will mark the final release from the band.

Posting on social media, the band stated: “We’re pleased to share our latest and last? single ‘Best Friend’. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we’ve enjoyed writing and playing for you over the last four years!?”

If it is indeed the end of the popular quintet, the new single ensures a poignant finale, taking a nostalgic look at childhood friendships with FLING’s emotive and recognisable indie-rock sound.

The track was produced in association with Lee Smith (Easy Life, The Cribs, Submotion Orchestra, Pulled Apart by Horses), with the band adding: “It’s a song about friendships you share with people and how time affects everything apart from the bonds you form together.”
