Lauran Hibberd shares satire-fuelled cut ‘Old Nudes’

Lauran Hibberd releases 'Old Nudes'

Lauran Hibberd is back yet again with playful, satire-fuelled new cut ‘Old Nudes’.

The Isle of Wight-based artist has produced her most infectious track to date, the satirical approach and anthemic tendencies shine through once again, providing the perfect follow-up to pop-infused January release ‘Bang Bang Bang’.

Based on a true story, Lauran Hibberd charisma-filled charm continues whilst talking the mishap no-one wants to see happen. She’s amplified her potential and ramped up expectations, sparking comparisons to contemporaries including Phoebe Bridgers and Weezer.

Detailing her release, she revealed: “‘Old Nudes’ is unfortunately based upon a true story. We’ve all been there right!? The track looks back on the ‘mistake’, and almost mocks it using over confidence. It belittles the receiver, and oozes sarcasm and naivety. I keep writing songs about being young because I’m scared of getting too old to joke about these things.”

Check out the music video below which features Lauren in various places of her house, sometimes even nude.

If you want to be part of The Confession, Episode 2, Lauran still needs your confessions and possibly relieve your sins. It doesn’t have to be nude related, and any embarrassing / mortifying confession u wish to forget is fine. Email them to oldnudesconfessions@gmail.com (You’ll remain anonymous).
