Living in a world of teenage angst, this young duo Hyde Away have released their vocal debut single ‘In With The Sharks’.

Comprised of Conor Andrews and Max Hunt, the Bishop’s Stortford (Hertfordshire) duo wrote the song shortly after they formed in 2017 when it was announced the UK would leave the EU.

The band were too young to vote at the time and said ‘In With The Sharks’ expresses “our feelings and fears for our future and how we felt that our lives were out of our control”.

The rhythmic anthem has bold riffs and striking vocals. The lyrics are powerful and pack a meaningful punch like “there’s nothing but darkness awaiting me” means of the horrible unknown we face ahead.

Taking influence to the likes of The Courteeners, Two Door Cinema Club, Catfish & The Bottlemen and Circa Waves, Hyde Away is an up and coming pair who have already have awards under their belts.

They were crowned Best 18 & Under Band at the NMG Award (under previous band Riviera) after spending a record-breaking number of weeks at number one on the Cambridge 105 Radio New Music Generator Unsigned Chart.

After spending time in the studio, writing catchy melodies and memorable lyrics, we eagerly await what’s in store for Hyde Away.
