Freeda share breezy indie pop single ‘Chasing Yesterday’

Manchester indie-pop outfit Freeda make a grand return with new single ‘Chasing Yesterday’. 

The six-piece are offering another perfect example of the bands right uplifting instrumentation topped with melancholy tinged vocals. ‘Chasing Yesterday’ is a shimmering slice of pop with big hooks and groovy synths. 

Talking about the single, Freeda described their song as “a glimpse of better times after coming to terms with a breakdown in relationship. It’s about coming to terms with a broken relationship and acknowledging how hard you try you cannot relive the past”.

It’s hard to argue with that as vibrant, intertwining guitar and synth lines set you up for the bopping bass and drums neatly layer over emotive lead vocals. 

Freeda have built a dedicated following in Manchester as their indie-heartbreak-pop navigates modern romance with big beats, glittering synths and infectious riffs.From sold out shows at venues across the city including Deaf Institute and Manchester Academy 3 as well as appearing on line ups at the likes of Y Not? Festival, 110 Above and Tramlines Freeda are powering their way through 2022 with pride.
