Exclusive Interview: Connor Schofield – JAWS

It’s not every day you catch me doing an interview. It’s not that I’m bad at them. I’m just not very good at looking at people in the face. Which is why I hid behind my keyboard and asked Connor some burning questions about one of my favourite bands to date, JAWS…

It’s been a while since we spoke to you guys last. In that time, you’ve released an album, played some major festivals and headlined some big venues across the country. What’s next for JAWS?

I’m not sure, to be honest, haha, we take it day by day. we’re always writing but we’re in no rush. we’re a patient bunch. Whatever we do next has to be right.

Any chance of a new track anytime soon?

Hopefully at some point in 2018.

You’ve started to make a bit of a name for yourself outside of the band, especially when it comes to your sense of fashion. Is this something that you’ve always had an interest in or do you just like clothes?

Yeah, I just like clothes really, quite a lot actually.

We absolutely loved your second album ‘Simplicity’ here at ICM. Do you guys each have a favourite track (or an individual favourite)?

I reckon the invisible sleep is my favourite. not sure why I just think it came out really well. the recording is my favourite.

You’ve met Big Narstie. Is he as jokes as everyone makes him out to be in person?

Yeah, he’s exactly what you expect. Legend.

What’s been the biggest highlight for you guys this year as a band?

I think Truck festival this year was insane. Ridiculous crow, it was absolutely mental!!!
