Derek Corr crafts rhythmic blend of indie pop-rock

Fusing his love of music, philosophy and Buddhist meditation, Derek Corr is producing a unique blend of indie pop-rock.
His new single ‘If I Was The Devil’ is taken from his debut album ‘This Now’ which was released last month. The singer-songwriter hails from Kenmare, Ireland with his family and works at the Dzogchen Beara Buddhist Centre where he regularly guides meditation.
The spiritual artist is trying to express that powerful and essential nature of our being through the medium of his songs. Derek has been producing music since he was 16 where his band regularly took to the stage at the city’s Theatre Royal and has even spent time in Madrid as a session musician and producer.
Now honing his talents into his own project, Derek Corr uproots rhythmic soft rock with soaring vocals; ‘If I Was The Devil’ has great songwriting with powerful versus and a moving chorus.
Derek has had his work played on both national and local radio stations in Ireland and Spain over the years and since moving to Kenmare he has produced an impressive body of original work, refining his skills on a variety of instruments. This is an exciting new journey for the musician and it only looks set to grow. Check out the single below and please leave an ICM Star Rating out of 10.
