CHEEKBONE combine melodic pop with new wave indie

CHEEKBONE 2020 press

Hailing from the seaside town of Weston Super Mare alternative pop-rock outfit CHEEKBONE release new single ‘Stranger’.

Now dividing time between Bristol and South London, the quintet; Ernest Gorka, Lou Raymond, Stell Kousiounis and Nick Joules, freshly blend new wave indie with modern pop hooks and old school 60s rock.

Following on from their debut EP ‘Show Me Something’ last year, CHEEKBONE have impressed the critics with their upbeat ballads that reminisce on bands like The Strokes and The Libertines.

‘Stranger’ features jangly riffs with sweet melodic pop as the interchanging vocals from Ernest and Lou complement each other over an exuberant guitar pop chorus. The band also share artistic sensibilities and identical features, despite not being related.

Having kicked off 2020 with airplay on BBC Introducing London, Boogaloo Radio and support slots for The Luka State, CHEEKBONE are heading in the right direction. Check out the track below and leave an ICM Star Rating out of 10.
