Before Me implode with powerful and electrifying alt pop-rock

New to the Leeds alt pop-rock scene is Before Me who have just dropped their debut EP featuring the sophomore single ‘Can You Feel’.
The 20-year-old lads follow on an already impressive debut ‘Can’t Sleep’ bellowing powerful vocals and electrifying riffs. This band have got their heads on straight and know what they’re doing.
The new number ‘Can You Feel’ is a dramatic change in mood, an anthemic number depicting the instability felt when falling for someone. It has a triumphant sound, that provides the listener with a little pick-me-up.
Taking influence from The 1975, Bring Me The Horizon and Don Broco, Before Me unsurprisingly implode with emotional, hard-hitting choruses interspersed with detailed, synthesised backdrops throughout the EP. Lyrically, it explores stories personal to the band yet highly relatable to the audience, depicting the complex nature of relationships in adolescence.
Discussing their songwriting, the band said: “The music we write details our observations and experiences of the world that surrounds us as we transition into adulthood, juxtaposed with personal, emotive stories relatable to our audience.
“As three best mates, we strive to not only write music that we love but push the boundaries of creative expression.”
From starting their first band in 2013 in their hometown of Gloucestershire to moving en-masse to Leeds to study music, Before Me cut their teeth writing songs and selling-out shows (pre-lockdown); we have something special on our hands here. Listen below and leave an ICM Star Rating out of 10!
