Beafets offer energetic and emotional melodic pop-rock ballads

Specialising in energetic and emotional indie ballads, Scottish quartet Beafets feel rejuvenated as they go into the new year with latest single ‘Open Letter’.

The East Kilbride-based band originally formed in 2015 with quick success thanks to their two singles and shows supporting Beach Baby, The Ninth Wave and The Lapelles.

However, no sooner they arrived, they were gone due to what the band say were “mitigating circumstances”.

SInce January 2019, Beafets were refreshed for a return with their first studio single ‘Rules for Fools’. Fast forward two years later they are back with their new melodic pop-rock anthem ‘Open Letter’.

The single is a heartwarming slice of pop-rock which certainly doesn’t lack the charm. Snappy guitar riffs and vocals like early days of The Wombats, Beafets’ ‘Open Letter’ pulls on the heartstrings with its booming basslines and radiant guitars.

Beafets have said ‘Open Letter’ will be the “first of several” planned releases for 2021, so keep an eye out for this name as they won’t be going away any time soon this time around.

The 20-year-old singer, songwriter, and social media star has fast made a name for themselves as a singular new artist, showcasing their one-of-a-kind perspective through mesmerising bedroom pop and a bold, funny, utterly idiosyncratic online persona. Last month, the Salt Lake City artist released his debut EP ‘Immaturing’, the five-track EP is a project that sincerely documents his challenging experiences growing up.
